Wednesday, January 31, 2007
Rachel McAdams is one of the hottest female celebrities and top actresses to hail from Canada in recent years and she continues to make her friends, family and fans from Ontario proud! Her beautiful dominance throughout the world of entertainment doesn’t appear to be slowing down either.
Much to the pleasure of many Batman fans, it appears that Katie Holmes will not be returning to reprise her role as Rachel Dawes from Batman Begins in the upcoming sequel, rumored to be titled, The Dark Knight.
However, much to the delight of the series’ fans and those of Rachel McAdams, current whispers in the entertainment industry have it that McAdams will take up the baton for the sequel.
It’s not been fully disclosed why Katie Holmes will not be returning to the role. Several sources cite several rumors, none of which have been confirmed. Current statements only say that Holmes declined the $2.3 million deal due to “scheduling conflicts”. Regardless of the reasons and the rumors about Mrs. Tom Cruise, the speculation that Rachel McAdams will star in the movie already in pre-filming will bring a fresh, welcome and stunning face to the project.
McAdams has been in the public eye since the age of four when she began figure skating and then acting in summer Shakespeare camps when she was 13 years old. After launching on-screen in 1998 with the Disney series, The Famous Jett Jackson, McAdams did a few more films before becoming a sensation alongside fellow female celebrity Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls.
Rachel McAdams took home four 2005 Teen Choice Awards for her role in The Notebook, including Best Actress (Drama), Best Chemistry, Best Liplock, and Best Love Scene.
Some movie goers may have lost interest in the Batman series of movies – until now! Bring on Rachel McAdams.
