Rebecca Romjin’s Sound Marital Advice

Rebecca Romjin was set to marry on July 14 to then boyfriend Jerry O’ Connell when consequently, there was one minor setback. She was to get back to work Monday after the wedding. It was sure to be a honeymoon spoiler. However, they found a solution and went ahead to take the vows.

When asked what the solution was, Romjin gladly recommended, “Take the honeymoon first.” This was what she said at the party of ABC Television Critics Association. The 34 year old actress also added that by taking the honeymoon first, she and now husband, Jerry were able to spent a lot of time with each other, relaxing and getting a tan before getting married. That was two weeks, all in all.

The two weeks’ itinerary includes being in Montauk with Connell’s parents for the first couple of days and in Mexico for more than a week. Consequently, the two weeks helped them a lot in dealing with wedding jitters. Merely thinking about what they did together prior to taking vows made them feel “warm and excited.” Romjin further added that by doing it backwards, she and Jerry both were able to deal with slight post-wedding blues. She explained that after the wedding celebration, she and her husband realized they were suffering from post-wedding depression after feeling antsy because there were no more preparations to do. Good thing they were immediately off to work and had jumped back into routine to get them busy.

On July 14, this year, Ugly Betty star Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O’Connell tied the knot before close family and friends in Los Angeles. It was also attended by the couple’s two pet dogs, formally dressed in bow ties.

Romjin and O’Connell had been dating since 2004 and got engaged in September 2005. Rebecca Romjin can be currently seen in ABC’s comedy Ugly Betty while he is set to star in Carpoolers, a new ABC comedy due this fall.
