Rosie O’Donnell Declares War on the Donald

Rosie O’Donnell has never been known to not speak her mind and she did not hesitate this time either.  Rosie co-hosts the very popular television show “The View,” which airs in the United States on Wednesday mornings on ABC.  The subject was the Donald, Trump that is, and the much talked about controversial decision he made in restoring Miss USA’s crown.  Rosie took the opportunity to air her views of the press conference held between Trump, owner of the Miss Universe organization, and the current Miss USA.  This isn’t the first time that O’Donnell and Trump have exchanged scathing words and insults, and Rosie is certainly not shy about expressing her opinion openly.  Rosie took the opportunity to attack the Donald, much to the amusement of the live audience, the panel members, and probably television viewers around the world, who tune in regularly to the show.  She commented on his two marriages, relationships, and the implausibility of his being a “moral compass,” with the capacity to judge a group of 20 year olds.  But, if that wasn’t enough, she went on to criticize his financial dealings, mentioning a three-time bankruptcy, which Trump vehemently denies.  Comparing him to a “snake oil salesman,” Rosie also joked about his hairstyle and his speech.

Needless to say, Rosie has stirred up a hornet’s nest, but she does not appear to be alarmed.  After all, she seems more than willing to fight it out in court, in the press, or otherwise.  Trump, of course, has spoken out publicly, as well, threatening to sue, and making a few degrading comments of his own.  Now that war has been declared, stay tuned for the next round, as the fight is on.  Chances are, however, that Rosie will not retract a single word, nor will the Donald, but the media will have a field day with this one.
