Rumer Willis Involved in Drug Raid
Friday, July 27, 2007
Rumer Willis, 18 year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, was caught up in a drug raid at the La Quinta Inn in Aberdeen, Md. July 26. Willis was there shooting the movie ‘From Within, a psychological thriller co-starring Thomas Dekker, who appears on NBC’s Heroes.
Unlike Lindsay Lohan, who recently denied the cocaine found in her pants was hers when she was arrested earlier this week, Willis was not arrested for drugs or anything else. The Aberdeen police did arrest Christopher Henry, a key grip on the movie on marijuana-related charges. Willis and Henry were two of four people in the hotel room.
Rumer Willis was born Rumer Glenn Willis in Paducah, KY on August 16, 1988. She was named after the British novelist Rumer Godden.
Willis made her film debut at the age of five when she appeared with her mom in the move Now and Then, made in 1995. Her name was listed as Willa Glen in the credits.
She also appeared in ‘Striptease’ with her mom.
Children of famous actors often become actors/actresses in their own right. Dad Bruce and daughter Rumer signed on to a film together in ‘The Sophomore’ with Mischa Barton. The film is described as a teenage take on Chinatown, the classic Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway classic.
The Rumer Willis movie doesn’t deal with a city water supply conspiracy or murder like the 1974 film. It deals instead with stolen SAT exams.
Rumer Willis is the older sister of Scout LaRue Willis and Tallulah Belle Willis and is pals with Lindsay Lohan whom she supports. Willis is not above embarrassing incidents however. On July 11 in Hollywood, a photographer was beaten and left unconscious. Two males, apparently coming to Willis’s defense attacked the photographer as Rumer Willis was coming out of the Skybar in Hollywood, Ca.
