Samantha Harris gives birth to girl

Samantha Harris, E! News correspondent and co-host of Dancing with the Stars welcomed a baby girl September 23 in Los Angeles. The baby girl was born at 1:49 a.m. and weighed in at six pounds, 12 ounces and is 20 inches long. The couple named their daughter Josselyn Sydney Hess, according to People Magazine.

Harris has been tracking her pregnancy on the blog ‘The Bump Report’ for Fitness Magazine since January.

Harris and her husband Michael Hess, a financial wholesaler is ecstatic. “We can’t wait to introduce her to our family and friends in the morning,” Harris said.

The 33-year-old former model was due to head back to her job today for the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars premier. Harris announced her ‘with-child’ status in April when people started to question her curves. Many thought she may have had a boob job.

Before joining E!, Samantha Harris was a weekend host for Extra and worked as a special correspondent for Good Morning America and sat in as a guest on ‘The View.”

Harris is a three-time cover girl for Muscle & Fitness Hers and has been featured in Maxim, Self, Shape and FHM magazines. Although a candy-aholic she is a fitness enthusiast and loves yoga, dancing and hiking.

Harris was born Samantha Harris Shapiro in Hopkins, MN on November 27, 1973 and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Journalism in Evanston, Ill.

Harris also had roles in ‘George of the Jungle’, Reefer Madness and Beautiful.

ABC said they were not going to announce a replacement for Harris on Dancing with the Stars, and people will need to tune in September 24 to find out.
