Scary Spice Gives Birth to Second Daughter

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown (“Melanie B” as she became known by her worldwide fans) gave birth to her second daughter this last April 3rd in California, USA. Weighing around 5 pounds 4 ounces the baby girl was born at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica just after midnight, as was informed by Melanie Brown’s publicist Nadine Bibi.

“Baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting” announced the statement sent by Bibi to the press media. It also informed that although the baby has not a given name yet, she is “purely known as Baby Brown” by now.

The statement was probably making there an indirect reference to the paternity issue regarding little Baby Brown. It comes to be that 31 year old Melanie Brown has pointed out in more than one occasion that “Dreamgirls” movie star and former boyfriend Eddie Murphy was the baby’s father. “There’s absolutely no question that Eddie is the father”, she has said when asked about this subject.

But it seems that American movie Star Eddie Murphy does not share her ex-girlfriend’s sureness. “I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test”, Murphy said on a Dutch TV show last December when the subject came in. “You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir” he stated vigorously regarding the delicate matter that same evening.

As expected, “Scary Spice” (as she was baptized by the English media due to her aggressive “in your face attitude” and particular dressing style that usually included leopard-print outfits and a voluminous curly hair style) didn’t take that declaration quite well. Releasing a statement of her own at that moment, she announced herself “upset and distressed” at such comments.

Ironically enough, Baby Brown and Eddie Murphy will share the same birthday, as the famous movie star and former “Saturday Night Live” actor was born on April 3rd 1961.
