Spears Ordered To Shell Out Cash For Child Support

Friday, November 02, 2007

Yeah, it’s a good day in the life of Kevin Federline.  Every day he seems to be coming out the victor in the custody battle between him and his ex-wife, unprolific former pop tart Britney Spears. And if it’s a good day for K-Fed, it’s probably a bad day for Ms. Spears.

Court documents from the ex-couple’s October 26th hearing continue to be released, giving the public a view into the life and spending habits of the train wreck.  In 2006 alone, Brit earned over $730,000 while her fledgling ex-hubby grossed a measly $7,400 after business expenses.  Getting started is hard, y’all!

The court documents, however, also go into how much the two spent on average every month in 2006, detailing just how careless and frivolous Britney really is.  She spent a whopping $102,000 on gifts, entertainment and vacations – that’s more than most people make in a year!  She also spent about $49,000 on mortgage, $16,000 on clothes, almost $5,000 on restaurant dining and about $2,500 in cell phone bills.  Dang girl!

Kevin, meanwhile, spent only a fraction of what Spears did on the same items, including only $5,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacation, $7,500 on rent, $2,000 on clothes, $1500 on eating out and $750 on cell phone bills.  Even though most of us would have a heart attack if we saw a $750 phone bill, it’s just a tiny bit of what Brit spent.

Since K-Fed makes so little and is now caring for his boys almost full time while Spears parties hard, isn’t it only fair that he gets a little child support?  The judge felt the same way and ordered Ms. Britney to pay $15,000 per month to Kevin until the babies are all grown up.  Will this latest tactic get Spears to shape up?  Not likely.
