Kylie Minogue’s 20-year contribution to the pop music industry was recognised this past weekend as she scooped the prestigious Music Industry Trust prize at a ceremony in London.
“I am truly thrilled to be recognized in this way,” said Kylie.
Previous winners of the award include Peter Gabriel and Elton John. Significantly, this is the first time the prize has ever been awarded to a woman.

New Kylie Minogue Tracks Appear on Internet

Kylie Minogue fans got a taste of what is to come in the star’s next album when two rejected songs appeared on the internet this week.
The tracks, Spell of Desire and In The Mood For Love, briefly appeared on the website of Scottish DJ Mylo, who collaborated with Minogue for the two tracks. They have since been taken off of the website.

Pop star Kylie Minogue has been signed up to play a major role in this year’s Christmas special of Doctor Who.
The storyline for the show, Voyage of the Damned, will link in with the end of series three that was shown in the UK this weekend.
Last year, the Doctor Who special that was aired on BBC on Christmas day attracted an audience of 9.4 million viewers.
