Madonna May be Leaving Warner Music Group

Madonna is evidently set to leave her longtime recording home, Warner Music Group in favor of the mega-lucrative $120 million, 10-year deal with the concert-promoting giant Live Nation Inc. The deal would net her cash, stock options and a one-stop shop for recording, touring, licensing and merchandising deals according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

Madonna’s bid to adopt David Banda is hanging in the balance this week as it has emerged that the Malawian social worker who was to assess the star’s suitability to adopt this week has been replaced.
Penstone Kilembe, who has been dealing with the case since last year, has been replaced by Simon Chisale after government intervention.
Madonna took custody of David Banda in October 2006 when she was granted an 18-month interim custody order.

A Malawian official is to visit the home of Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie next month to assess whether the couple are suitable parents for Malawi-born David Banda.
Madonna took custody of David Banda in October 2006 when she was granted an 18-month interim custody order.
However, the full adoption will only be finalized when Malawi authorities are fully satisfied that the child is properly cared for.

Madonna and her adopted son, David Banda, have returned to Malawi and rumors are running wild as to why they are there.
A spokesperson for Madonna, Liz Rosenberg said: “She is overseeing the building of a children’s health care center. She is absolutely not adopting another baby.”
